The cmdlet directory (Directories > Cmdlets on the menu) is now populated with 630+ cmdlets, and is fuly searchable. It's an easy way to find the cmdlet you need, see a quick description, and get a link to where the cmdlet can be obtained.

We need some help obtaining cmdlets as MS releases more PowerShell-based products. Specifically, we'd like to add SCVMM and SCOM cmdlets. If you have these products and want to help, open PowerShell (on a computer with these products' management tools installed) and do this:

- Remove all non-core snap-ins
- Add JUST the product snap-in (if the product has a dedicated shortcut, launch that)
- Run this command:

get-help * | where { $_.Category -eq "Cmdlet" } | select name,pssnapin,synopsis | export-csv cmdlets.csv

This will include PowerShell's core cmdlets, but we can filter those out. E-mail the file to don [at) sapien (dot] com and accept our thanks!

It is important to note that any snap-in can be added to the directory, including non-Microsoft snap-ins that are either commercial or free. You just need to follow the steps above. The Cmdlet Directory page includes a list of the snap-ins currently included in the Directory so that you don't send in duplicates.

Thanks!
